Meteor server side file upload

In the last tutorial we have seen how to load the Medium Editor clone in our Meteor application. The editor come with the insert plugin that give us the possibility to add images and embedded in our text. The plugin make use of the jquery file uploader and need an endpoint to call to stream the file to upload. Meteor from it side doesn’t support REST API so we have to implement one and make it able to accept data as the payload of the HTTP request.

External lib with Meteor – Medium Editor

Usually in a Meteor application all the client Javascript are loaded into the browser on the first page visit. This approach make extremely fast the navigation of any application. But when your app become big it can be a problem. Thinking about a blog application with a particular editor. In a normal Meteor application all the Javascript for the editor functionality is loaded at begin for every pages of the blog also where it’s not required. We want to find a way to avoid this behaviour and let us decide on which page we want to load the library.
